TruVertical Microneedling
By RejuvaPen
What is TruVertical Microneedling™?
TruVertical Microneedling™ is a gentler approach to microneedling that helps your skin naturally heal and refresh itself.
Tiny, sterile needles create small openings in the skin, which triggers your body to produce new collagen and elastin—proteins that make your skin smoother and firmer.
This process also boosts blood flow, leaving your skin looking healthier and younger.
TruVertical’s "touch and release" method helps prevent unnecessary skin damage and irritation that can happen with dragging techniques. This approach allows for more accurate control, reducing the risk of complications and ensuring better results.
We love this method because it’s safer, more effective, and uses the FDA-cleared Rejuvapen NXT, providing consistent, high-quality treatments for their patients.

-
During your Treatment
The Rejuvapen NXT® device will be gently pressed against your skin in a systematic pattern.
You may feel a light tapping sensation.
The device is lifted completely between each application.
This careful approach prevents unnecessary pulling or dragging on your skin.
Treatment depth may be adjusted for different areas of your face or body.
-
Numbing
A topical numbing cream will be applied to ensure your comfort.
You'll wait for the numbing cream to take effect (usually 20-30 minutes).
Your skin will be cleansed again.
-
After the Treatment
You may notice:
Skin redness (similar to a sunburn)
A warm, tight feeling in your skin
Mild sensitivity
These effects are normal and typically subside within 24-48 hours.
-
First 24–48 Hours
Gentle Cleansing: Cleanse the treated area with lukewarm water and a gentle, non-exfoliating cleanser. Avoid any scrubs, exfoliants, or active ingredients like retinoids or acids.
Moisturize: Apply a soothing, hydrating moisturizer or serum as recommended by your practitioner. This will help reduce dryness and support the healing process.
Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours. After this period, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily to protect your skin and prevent pigmentation issues.
-
48 Hours after treatment
void Heat & Sweating: Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours, as excessive heat and sweating can irritate the treated skin.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Continue to avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for 5–7 days. If you must be outside, wear a wide-brimmed hat or use a physical sunscreen.
No Makeup (for 24–48 hours): Allow your skin to breathe. You can usually resume makeup after 24–48 hours, but be sure to use clean brushes or applicators.
-
3-7 days after treatment
Flaking & Peeling: It’s normal for your skin to peel and shed dead skin cells, but do not pick at or force the skin off. Let it shed naturally.
Avoid Active Ingredients: Refrain from using any active ingredients such as retinol, glycolic acid, or other exfoliating treatments for at least 5–7 days after treatment.
Continue Moisturizing: Keep the treated area moisturized, as this will aid in the healing process and keep the skin from becoming excessively dry.
